Greece Day 5 & 6

Yesterday, we got to see the Byzantine Church walk, and the museum of archeology. We got to experience the Athens metro, which was pretty much your average metro.

After enjoying a large lunch of souvlaki, the group split in groups of people who wanted to stick around and visit the flea market. I was feeling tired so joined the group to walk back to the apartments.

Today we saw Hadrian’s Arch, the Olympieion, and then we ate at a Kurdish restaurant and saw the refugee center and free store. I was in the second group this evening, so concluded my day with a Greek cooking class. We made a delicious chicken and potatoes dish, some tzatziki which was delicious and I will definitely be making at home. (Get ready, guys!)

Tonight, we are all packing up and enjoying our last night in Athens. Tomorrow begins our road trip around Greece, which I cannot wait to enjoy.
